'SOCOM: Confrontation' Patch 1.30 Delayed Until January

Posted December 23, 2008 - By bleahy

Unfortunately, the long-awaited 1.30 patch for SOCOM: Confrontation, which will attempt to make major fixes to the game, has been delayed until January 2009.

The patch, which developer Slant Six has finished work on, is currently awaiting Sony's certification process. The people that do the certifying just happen to be on vacation. How dare they?! Don't they know there are eager gamers out there?

The developers are sorry that you won't be enjoying 1.30 over you Holiday, but hope to have it released as soon as possible in the new year.

They are currently anticipating a release during the week of January 5th or 12th.

The update will include trophies, optimization, bug fixes, stat tracking support, and a few new features like a simplified weapon selection interface and a dive-to-prone ability. Unfortunately, following friends into games still isn't in the cards.

How badly do you want patch 1.30? Personally, I wants it so badly. Hopefully this will be the patch that fixes the game and makes it the SOCOM we all know and love
