In the gaming industry, you often hear speculation from all different kinds of sources. This week it came from an unexpect place, a financial analyst.

Lazard Capital Markets' Colin Sebastian listed a slate of 22 games that could potentially help drive a 5 percent growth in game sales for 2009. The list included the usual heavy-hitters like Resident Evil 5 and Starcraft II, but Sebastian also included a new Princess Peach game and a completely speculative new installment in the Zelda series.

Considering we have yet to see a Zelda game that was built for the Wii (since Twilight Princess was developed for the GameCube and ported to the Wii), this might not be that far fetched. However, with a franchise as big as it is, one would have expected Nintendo to tease the new game as early as possible, at least a year before release.

Since we haven't heard anything about this fabled sequel, we have to put this on the "totally not true but would be awesome" rumor list, but we'll keep you posted if we hear anything else.
