'Rock Band' Getting More Foo Fighters And A Special Holiday Pack

MTV Games and Harmonix have announced a bunch of new download content for Rock Band that will be available on December 23, 2008. First up is a special selection of holiday songs, including "Hanukkah Blessings" by Barenaked Ladies, "Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You" by Billy Squier, and The Pretenders’ version of "Blue Christmas." And because nothing says Christmas cheer like Dave Grohl's happy face, a Foo Fighters pack will be available as well. The songs include "DOA", "Times Like These", and "This is a Call." The official press release states:

"Each track will be available starting December 23, 2008, for the Xbox_360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and for PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system. The Foo Fighters’ tracks will be available for $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points) each or $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points) for the 3-pack.  Holiday tracks will be available for $.99 (80 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) each or for $2.99 (240 Microsoft Points) for the 3-pack."

While I dig the Foo Fighters, I'm not really enthused by MTV's announcement as much as Activision's for Guitar Hero: World Tour. How about you? Any of these tracks destined for your PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360?
