Eidos and Warner Bros. Interactive have announced that Kevin Conroy and Luke Skywalker Mark Hamill will be voicing Batman and The Joker, respectively, for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Asylum game. The company's press release states:
"Batman fans around the world will be excited to learn that Mark Hamill of Star Wars fame and leading television and stage actor Kevin Conroy will lend their voices to the Batman: Arkham Asylum videogame. Kevin Conroy will repeat his role as the caped crusader, while Mark Hamill, who is also a veteran of many animated Batman properties, will again star as The Joker in the upcoming action-adventure title."

This is brilliant news for fans of the animated series. Conroy and Skywalker Hamill truly bring the characters to life. As much as I've enjoyed Christian Bale's performances, Conroy is still my favorite Batman of all time. His gruff Batman and his flippant Bruce Wayne are perfect. In the immortal words of Carly Simon, "Nobody does it better...."
Incidentally, who was your favorite Batman? If anyone picks George Clooney...well, I might have to create a Clooney hammer to beat some good taste into people. Ha!
