Square Enix director Hiroshi Takai (The Last Remnant) has given Microsoft's Xbox 360 a glowing endorsement. In a recent interview with the Official Xbox Magazine UK, Takai said:
"It's been the team's first time working with Xbox 360 and the Unreal Engine. In both cases the experience has been a positive one. In fact, as we've only just finished work on Last Remnant I don't even know what my next project is going to be at SquareEnix. However, I'm very much hoping it'll be for Xbox 360 as it's been a lot easier to work with than PlayStation 3."
Keep in mind that this is the personal preference of Takai and, presumably, his team. The 360 version of The Last Remnant was plagued by numerous technical glitches, which takes some luster away from Takai's praise. All that said, these comments will definitely turn some heads, particularly in the Japanese development community, where the 360 still needs to make some inroads.
