As usual, there are tons of rumors swirling around Apple this holiday season, speculating on their next big (or small) product that will have people lined up at the early hours of the morning. Adding fuel to the speculation of a 99 dollar iPhone being sold exclusively at Walmart, XSKN let a product image leak that shows a case for a smaller iPhone that could be the fabled "iPhone Nano". According to IdealsChina.com, the new iPhone Nano will be the same height as the new iPod Nano, but wider and thicker with the same contours as the iPhone 3G. They claim it has 3 sensors, a camera, a mirror screen, but no 3G, which means it will run on Edge, giving it much slower performance but probably longer battery life. Ideals China also claims that Steve Jobs will announce this new product at January MacWorld Show, and they will be on sale in stores soon after with 60,000 to 80,000 pieces coming off the assembly line each day.
Since this is all still very much in the rumor category, we leave the speculation up to you. Is this confirmation of the new iPhone Nano? Or just hope and speculation? Is there even a point to release a slower version of the iPhone? Or does the smaller size and lower price make it an easy sell?
