Electronic Arts' sales haven't been as good as the company was hoping for this year. And the state of the global economic crisis has made for an uncertain time for the video game publisher.
EA has decided not to go forward with its plans to open a new studio in Vancouver, Canada. It was said to begin planning last year.
The company also intends to cut back on staffing, centralize existing facilities and reduce production next fiscal year all to streamline overhead and cost.
EA currently has two studios in Vancouver: Need for Speed developer Black Box and FIFA developer EA Canada.
