EuroGamer recently paid a visit to Quantic Dream, the developer of the upcoming PlayStation 3 title Heavy Rain. Like previous Quantic Dream titles, Heavy Rain is heavily story driven and makes extensive use of actors. The Yourpeean gamers learned some interesting stats on the game. According to the site, the game's script is 2,000 pages long, containing 40,000 words of non-linear dialogue and 60 scenes ranging from 15 to 20 minutes. The game's cutscenes will feature 70 actors and stuntmen that will be used over 170 days of shooting.
Heavy Rain is, by far, the PlayStation 3 title I'm looking forward to the most in 2009. Aside from its ugly graphics, I was a huge fan of Quantic Dream's Indigo Prophecy for Xbox. It looks like Heavy Rain will avoid Indigo Prophecy's ugliness problem while retaining the features the developer is known for -- deep story, strong characterization, and great music. I'm so amped for this game! Now please excuse me while I get in touch with my inner Tay Zonday.
"Heavy Rain! Some stay dry and others feel the pain. Heavy Rain! A baby born will die before the sin."
