Since winning the fun and momentous award for 'most downloaded' free game on the App Store, music labels have taken notice of Tap Tap Revenge, Tapulous' iPhone rhythm game.

EMI is the first record label to work with Tapulous to develop label-specific versions of this popular game.

Tapulous has licensed 10 songs from nine EMI artists, like Moby, Daft Punk, the Chemical Brothers, Justice, and Morgan Page.

This version of Tap Tap costs $4.99 and artists will be involved in promoting their songs. Of course, other labels have joined to have their artists' music on the popular game, as well. Currently they are sorting out licensing and revenue issues.

Of course no product that contains music would be a proper Apple product unless you can access it on the iTunes Store, right? A digital soundtrack is due to be released before the end of this month.
