Will the entrancing gaze of "Blue Steel" once more grace the box-office? Well, according to Ben Stiller himself, a Zoolander sequel is likely to happen. In a recent interview, Stiller is quoted as saying:
I've been trying to get Zoolander 2 together and we've had a few scripts. I feel that is the sequel I really would like to do some day because I like the original and I would make sure it was something new and worthy of it first.
Exactly! What is it supposed to be? A sequel for ants?!
The 2001 original gave a lackluster performance at the box-office, on account of a few things, one being opening two weeks after the 9/11 attacks. (Gee, what a great time to see a comedy about dumb male models.) However, the film, in an Austin Powers-like comeback, gained cult status upon video/DVD release and cable airings. Now, it is one of the most (obnoxiously) quoted films, right up there with...again, Austin Powers.
