'Gran Turismo PSP' Is Still Coming

Posted by Sinden Lee - Friday, November 28, 2008 10:47 AM

All good things come to those who wait.

Head of Polyphony Digital, Kazunori Yamaguchi, promises that Gran Turismo PSP “is moving forward. It hasn’t been knocked off the plans: it’s there.”

This is long four years after Sony teased us with GT PSP, announcing back then at their E3 Sony press conference that we were going to do some open wheeled auto racing with our thumbs.

Since then, the game has been repeatedly delayed with its completion pushed back.  Fans have not seen any demos, no trailers, no screenshots, heck, not even a paid-for preview.

Mr. Yamaguchi’s clipped answer of “it’s there,” is certainly better than “it’s crashed.”

So we continue to wait..

How about they concentrate on getting GT5 up and running first?

@staychisel
you mean Gran Turismo 5? coming out sometime next year. sorry it takes so long to get the cars to realistically drive like the actual car, and getting it to sound just like the original car... but it will be worth it no doubt.

GT is king when it comes to realism of driving.

I already have GT2 for PSone on my PSP. I thought they canceled it. Well they DID cancel GT4 mobile as that's what it would have been known as had it been released.

So it's just GT mobile now?

NOTE TO POLYPHONY

Make this game cross-talk with GT5 please!

I ripped the original and best GT, and now play it on my PSP. Looks pretty good considering its over 10 years old now. I would buy a PSP version but that would involve them having to actually make it first ;)
