Rumor: 'Fable II' PC in Development

German site, gamona.de, is churning the rumor mill to the effect of saying Fable II is in development for a PC release and could come out as early as February 15, 2009.

Of course, we are quick to point out that it is just a rumor, but it would make sense considering Molyneux's connection to PC games in the past and the fact that Microsoft puts out the Xbox and Windows. So, yeah, this probably isn't too far off-base or out of the question. It's probably just a matter of when.

Next up, Gears of War 2. They said Gayble 2 wouldn't go to PC and look at this so Gears 2 will be next. So much for exclusives.

The first Fable was on pc so why not fable 2?

It's a good game. I personally don't care if it comes out on the PC. Hell, most of the games I play anyway are multiplat.

i remember when the first fable came out they said it was gonna be the best rpg ever made! lol. and look how that turned out!(it sucked) haha

Well considering it is still mainly being developed for the PS3 and it's still being released for the PS3 you didn't really steal it now did you? you just joined the party late.... you know like that drunk guy that always comes while everyone is having fun and he starts feeling up all the women and smelling bad... that's you xbox owners....

Final Fantasy started with Nintendo. As far as what we stole from you: Saints Row 2, Oblivion, Orange Box, Lost Planet, and Bioshock to name a few.

I don't like this because i want to hurt Microsoft..... just the Xbox mwaha... no but seriously this is the only game on the Xbox that i want to play, and with my high-end pc i'm glad to hear that it's being released for the pc

PC = Mandatory
Xbox & PS3 = Optional

i chose PS3 as i'm clearly a PS fan and it's a smarter move (i think) since those Xbox "exclusives" are coming to the PC anyways

you know how easy is it for ps3 games to go to PC??? VERY EASY!!! its Microsoft that isn't really allowing them to make them for PC. Fable 2 was never said to not go to PC, Gears of War 2 most likely will not unless they get the money to do so, CliffyB said so himself that he does not like putting his games on PC since they do not sell well.

see... i don't hate MS when it comes to computers, in fact i prefer windows over anything else... i just don't want to use their sh%tty console. And being able to play a game without using the 360, is a winner in my book.

then i can respect that. You dont have to support 360....just as long as u support MS in some form is good.

also, id have to respectfully disagree. PC/360 games may not be total exclusives.....but they are exclusive to consoles, and they only add to the quality of the 360 library where as PS3 doesnt benefit at all.

exactly the 3fixme is just a tool waiting for games to sell there so then if they sell well M$ makes a PC "remake" so it sells even more. 3fixme exclusives are just a myth. Cmon paying for Windows Live on an Xbox!? RIPOFF!

exactly no 3fixme exclusive that arent DLC or Expansions *cough*Recon blows*cough* while PS3 owners start getting all their exclusives (i believe the sony conquering started with MGs4 and LBP they just need to take out more game sin a short period) InFamous looks great, prototype (multiplatform) is gonna blow, GoW3 is epic, Killzone 2 will be epic.

Killer Instict 3 (possibly)
Crackdown 2 (possibly)

Really guys come on those are just a few titles and there is more to come. Also don't forget the RUMOR a few weeks ago about MGS4 possibly coming to 360. I know some of you will say Oh that will never happen. Well the same could be said about Fable 2 to the PC. Thats how rumors seem to work b/c you never know about them.

i can bet anything that gears 2 and POSSIBLY halo 3 will be remade to the PC. Lost Oddysey was just a typical Jrpg from square (which is pob the good thing), Too Human isnt so great,etc.
also its figurative speech to say they often get re-made to other consuls (Bioshock).

Lots of games get remade for other systems. It doesn't just happen w/ MS. Much like Bioshock was for PS3 the same happend with Unreal Tournament 3 to 360. UT3 started on PS3 then got ported to 360 later on w/ loads of extras. As for Gear 2 to PC Cliffy B said it wouldn't go to PC. Then again you never know with him. And I think its kind of late for Halo 3 to go to PC I know its not real old but if they really wanted to I'm sure they would have done it by now.

Why would I pay so much for an over priced blu ray player thats so called quality games include Lair, Haze, Socom Confrontation, and Genji. Makes no sense to me. Well atleast you know that if your playing the 360 or PC version that MS has the top quality games.

yeah sure it will take like 5 disc to make MGS4 for the weak 3fixme

so for each disc M$ will charge $60 bucks so add them up. ITS NOT GONNA HAPPEN

and it will have to be Toned down i mean way toned down to 15gb instead of 50gb like the ps3's disc

so shut up about MGS4 going to the 1 month lifespan console 360

thats fine. this way they make more money, so they can make even better games for the 360. as long as i can play these awesome games on my 360 then im fine. as far as i know the 360 is the console of choice since you get great exclusives (halo3, gears2), awesome pc games (left 4 dead, orange box, frontlines), and ex-esclusive ps3 games (ff13, dmc4, tekken6, re5, and the not so soon mgs4 (trust me it will happen))

I don't see how an xbot would care this goes to pc because its still more money for M$.

I can't see how anyone can say there is going to be no good games to play for people who own an xbox either.

Those are just what we know of. I'm sure both systems will have a ton to play both now and in the future.

...biz and rrod...man...you guys are really failing in all your comments...both of you keep toting no games.....its getting very hard to keep reposting long list of games....still you guys are hung up on that one console controls gaming crap...you do realize even if it goes pc...its not on ps3 so...guess what...they effectively cut out sony on it...many will be it on pc...

ps3 wont be getting fable 2 in fact they dont even need that game. i never tried it. i think its just a wannabe FF game a ripoff of it.

but all those games i listed are going on the ps3

the gameplay will be longer than weak halo 3 and way longer than that other halo 3 game that ppl gonna waste there money on. & i dont think its gonna be short cuz they working on both the gameplay and online play. there not just focusing on online play like halo did what made that game weak.

I still stand by my case, you are all ignorant little children. The games are exclusive to Microsoft, not the 360. Bioshock was never planned to be exclusive, the developers came out and said they had a hard time programing for the PS3. That's the development teams problem. Orange Box was multi-platform from day one, Valve normally doesn't play favorites. Same with Saint's Row.
