Sony Europe and Harmonix both have donated to UK's newly founded National Videogame Archive: an EyeToy prototype, and a prototype drum kit and guitar from Rock Band, respectively.

The Archive is a collaboration between the National Media Museum and Nottingham Trent University.

Their goal is to document essential examples from gaming history, as well as archive the "full life of games."

Its organizers are currently deliberating on the exact nature of the project, but expects to chronicle and detail early development art to advertising media.

Fan art, as well as community activities will be displayed.

This is a permanent exhibition that's long overdue!
