Orange County Police Confiscate Man's Xbox 360 And Games

The Orange County police stopped Kenyatta Hillman, an African American man, for speeding. After the deputy claimed to smell marijuana in the man's car, he searched it. The deputy then confiscated the man's Xbox 360, along with eight games, suspecting that the items were stolen. Even after the serial number of the console showed that the system was not reported stolen, the police went ahead and took the items. According to CNN's Mary Nguyen:

"Hillman believes they took the gaming system because he's poor and because of the way he looks."

Hillman, who had a receipt that proved the items were his, had to go through a few hoops to get his Xbox 360 and games back. In my opinion, he shouldn't have had to go through any of this. I sincerely doubt the police would have done the same to a caucasian that was neatly dressed. It's absolute garbage that Hillman had his games and console confiscated because of his skin color and the way he dresses.
