This week Blizzard confirmed they will soon allow players of their MMO juggernaught World of Warcraft to pay for the privilege of re-customizing the look of their avatar. For an undisclosed fee you will have the chance to change the aesthetics of your character; presumably with the same skin tone, facial features, and haircut options you had when you first started the game. Blizzard's Lee Sparks explained that they will be charging for this feature because they don't want their members doing this "all the time. The same thing goes for (the existing) paid character transfer, we don't want people bouncing back and forth."
This will work perfectly with my machinima series, "Death of a Tuaren Salesman", where my Tauren Shaman ages progressively and starts to lose his horns as he moves towards level 80. Look for it in an off-broadway production opening in Old Town Stormwind sometime this year.
