According to developers 2D Boy, their award-winning game World of Goo has a staggering 90% piracy rate. That is, for every 10 people that purchase their game, 90 people illegally download a copy.
While these numbers cannot be confirmed, it's a sad state of affairs for the $20 game ($15 on the Wii) that features no DRM. The developers maintain that they're "doing ok, though. [They're] getting good sales through WiiWare, Steam, and [their] website. Not going bankrupt just yet!"
It's bad enough when people steal from multi-million dollar studios, but don't do this to two guys that made a great game.
