In the aftermath of the huge top-level shake-up over at Heroes, it seems that first season writer Bryan Fuller may be set to return to the now ailing show. Fuller, whose resume includes episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, Wonderfalls, and Dead Like Me, is also the creator of the much beloved, but ratings-challenged Pushing Daisies. His return to Heroes is something that fans have been demanding for a while now. However, insiders believe that he will probably end up as a consultant, since it is unlikely that he would return to the show full-time, given his value as a show creator in Hollywood. Still, as he tells EW:
I am exclusive to Daisies through the delivery of the 13th episode of our 13-episode order, which will be mid-January. If Daisies isn't picked up by then, I will definitely be going back to play with my friends at Heroes.
It will be interesting to see how NBC will plan to reinvigorate the show amid the mid-season hiatus. The scramble has already begun.
