'Heroes' Video Game Cancelled

Posted by Sinden Lee - Friday, November 07, 2008 10:07 AM

Ubisoft will no longer produce a video game based on the TV series Heroes. The rights to the produce the video game now goes back to NBC Universal.

We recently reported that two co-executive producers of the show were fired with declining ratings during this current third season.

Rabid fans of Heroes undoubtedly are disappointed with this news and could see it as a bit unfair when Ubisoft has published other games based on TV shows such as Lost and CSI.

its better they leave it alone. best not to tarnish an amazing show with a crappy game

Darn! Now we'll have to wait to be disspointed by a video game's adaptation of a cult television show! Why can't Ubisoft just dissapoint us now!?!

If somebody picks it up as an MMO that's kind of like The Sims or Second Life... that would be cool. Other than that it's destined to suck anyway.

yeah, a heroes mmo would might be cool =)

I don't know about CSI, but the LOST game was horrible. It's probably better that they did cancel it.

@ N8R. It's called City of Heroes.

Now, it is probably better that they cancled it, but i still lost a chance to rip open a cheerleaders head.

hooray!!! one less crappy game that will never see the light of day or pollute the great game releases that are out now. now here's hoping the show gets axed as well. i'm sure all you heroes freaks are wishing to have constipated hiro's powers to not make it happen.

Good. Waste their resources on something else. This season of Heroes is mostly crap, anyhow. The game would only be worse.

whole show sucked 2 shows into the second season. Character development slowed to a crawl. It would take me 3 shows just to find out thing that was new. Screw that show, they blew it and in short order. I wouldn't play the game or watch the show for less than $15 an hour.
