The highly anticipated Lord of the Rings: Conquest game from Pandemic Studios will be in American stores January 9, 2009. You'll be able to choose either side, good or evil, and play through classic battles from the epic Middle Earth timeline.
And you can do it all on your PlayStation3, Xbox 360, PC, or Nintendo DS. There is also mention of a social component that would work over your net interface that allows users to vie for and temporarily own the ring. It's unclear if it will be a "King of the Hill" type scenario where players will battle each other directly for control of the ring or some other point-based system.
