According to financial reports from both Sony and Microsoft, it appears that the PlayStation 3 has outsold the Xbox 360 worldwide from July through the end of September.
The newest numbers from Sony put PS3 sales at 2.43 million consoles moved during that time period. Microsoft's numbers put their sales at 2.2 million units.
If these figures are correct, the PS3 now stands at 16.84 million units worldwide. Unofficial estimates put the Xbox 360 at 24 million. Meanwhile, Nintendo sits happily in their sugarplum castle made of money.
