Call of Duty: World at War may take place during World War II, but that won't stop it from getting in on the sweet zombie fighting action. A new game mode is unlocked by beating the game that allows 4 players to face endless hordes of Nazi zombies while earning cash to purchase weapons, equipment, and make repairs to barricades.
If you're thinking that this sounds an awful lot like Valve's Left 4 Dead you'd be right on the money. It's a little suspicious that this game mode made it into the game after all of the press Left 4 Dead has received. It's also a bit similar to Gears of War 2's Horde mode.
Call of Duty: World at War already includes a robust co-op experience, but this mode should help sweeten the deal. If there are two things that are great in video games, it's fighting Nazi's and killing zombies. Put them together and it's going to be good. We just hope the Nazombies stick to this extra mode and we aren't fighting them in the campaign.
What do you think? Shameless copying of Left 4 Dead or awesome idea that they came up with independently?
