Netflix's instant streaming feature will be making its way to the Mac for the first time ever thanks to Microsoft Silverlight. The feature, long exclusive to the PC, will be rolled out to Netflix subscribers through the end of 2008.

This is great news for Netflix subscribers that have Macs as they have been cut-off from this feature that PC subscribers have been enjoying for a while as part of their monthly subscription to Netflix.

Netflix will also debut instant streaming on the Xbox 360 as part of the "New Xbox Experience" update that is set to launch on November 19th, but only for Xbox LIVE Gold members.

Netflix streaming is unofficially available on the PlayStation 3 (and to Xbox LIVE Silver members) through third-party solutions like PlayOn.
