Richard "Lord British" Garriott is back safely on earth. The video game designer (Ultima series Tabula Rasa) spent the last ten days orbiting the earth in the International Space Station, courtesy of of a Russian space tourism company.
Garriott dropped to Earth via a Soyuz capsule which landed in the Kazakhstan steppes earlier today. "What a great ride that was," said Garriott, who paid an estimated $30 million for the trip. "This is obviously a pinnacle experience," Garriott said in televised comments.
Garriott spent his space-vacation floating around, doing experiments and otherwise being in freakin' space. He also left a harddrive on the station containing the DNA of important earthlings, including MMO Report' host Casey Schreiner. (video is under the cut.)
Welcome back, Lord British. We're very jealous.
