A man (formerly) working at Technicolor, a company that provides DVD and video game packaging, distribution, and production, has been caught with 100 copies of Gears of War 2 and Fable II along with several hundred DVD movies.
The perp was supposedly caught before any of the games could be sold or released to the black market, but he was only caught with 97 copies of the games. Who steals 97 of something? We think he managed to sell a few. Gears of War 2 did hit the internet early yesterday, after all.
Cops were able to catch the man while driving as he had outstanding traffic offenses and discovered the games. After checking his residence, they found the remaining stolen DVDs. In total, authorities believe he had stolen over $100,000 worth of DVDs and games.
Let this be a lesson to thieves. If you steal actual copies of something, you'll probably be caught. Ever hear of torrents?
