Bungie's New IP Not Restricted To Xbox 360

Posted October 20, 2008 - By Brian Leahy

Bungie, creators of the extremely popular Halo franchise, is working on a new game that is not set in the Halo world. Since it is a new intellectual property (IP), their new game isn't necessarily limited to the Xbox 360.

Although Bungie isn't making any announcements or statements about going multiplatform yet, they are certainly open to it saying they, "haven't gotten that far yet to be totally honest. In theory we do have every means to go out and find the right ecosystem, the right partners, to align with. We're very happy with Microsoft, the Xbox 360's been great to us and they're a world class publisher."

Bungie's next release will be Halo 3: Recon, which is set for release on the Xbox 360 next Fall.

You can watch the reveal trailer for Halo 3: Recon after the break.

So how about it, hardcore PS3 fans... would you play a game from Bungie if it released on the PlayStation 3 or would your undying fanboy hatred not allow you to play a game from the creators of Master Chief?
