T-Mobile G1 »

We finally get a chance to unwrap the G1, the first phone to make use of the new Google Android technology, to see what makes it so sexy.

Look below the cut for the written review from Attack of the Show.

What You Need to Know

  • It's almost two tenths of an inch thicker than the iPhone and weighs an ounce more
  • The phone has a glass screen like the iPhone
  • It doesn't support multi-touch like pinch or zoom
  • On the keypad, the keys are widely spaced
  • It also has a Blackberry Ball for navigation
  • Includes Chrome Lite browser
  • The phone has GPS, Google Maps and Street View integrated
  • The Android Market is an app store where you can find, buy and install new apps
  • The music player uses the Amazon MP3 Store to download DRM free tracks
  • Battery life seems to be long lasting
  • No headphone jack, so you'll need a USB to headphone adapter
  • Can take 16GB Micro SDHC cards like SanDisk’s
