Former Olympic athlete Tim Montgomery (he won a gold medal for sprinting in 2000, but had it stripped for his connection with a lab that distributed steroid) has been sentenced to five years in prison for selling heroin to an undercover police officer.

“I was blind — I never had a job in my life,” Montgomery told U.S. District Judge Jerome B. Friedman. “I did the wrong thing.”

No doubt.
