With such avante-garde classics as S.S. Doomtrooper (pictured), Showdown at Area 51, and Sasquatch Mountain under their belts, RHI Entertainment has inked a deal that will give us five more orginal films to air on the Sci-Fi channel. Among the surely future classics will be:
-- "Sand Serpents," starring Jason Gedrick, follows American combat soldiers in the Afghan desert who battle the Taliban and a horde of giant carnivorous serpents.
-- "Alien Western" is set in an Old West town in the 1890s where monstrous buglike machines from another world attack.
-- "Carney," based on the Jersey Devil legend, where a fiendish carnival side-show attraction escapes and terrorizes a Depression-era Mid-Atlantic town.
Bad acting, cheesy CGI, and the most ludicrous, "they must have been high" plots ever imagined. Serious cred must be given to Sci-Fi for keeping the genre of pure schlock alive and well.
