New PS3 Bundles Coming To Japan

Posted October 8, 2008 - By John Manalang

Once again, Japan's Famitsu magazine gives us an early look in what to expect at this year's Tokyo Game Show. Sony will be introducing new PS3 bundles to the 80GB model in Japan in promotion of their upcoming first-party titles: The racing sim Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Spec III and Media Molecules platformer LittleBigPlanet.

In addition to the game bundles, the new PS3 packages will introduce the system in three different colors: black, white and silver. The Spec III package will include the latest DualShock 3 controller while Sony also plans to release a Blu-Ray retail copy of the latest Gran Turismo addition. Spec III is the same update to GT 5: Prologue released last week by Sony.

The "PlayStation 3 LittleBigPlanet Dream Box" will include the 80GB model, two DualShock controllers, a copy of LittleBigPlanet and a special Sackboy artwork box. The bundle will be available for 44,980 yen (around $450 USD). No official word yet whether these packages will arrive in Europe or North America.

Tokyo Game Show kicks off tomorrow, October 9, so make sure you stay tuned for any updates!
