'Resistance 2' Trophies Revealed

The wait's almost over folks. In less than a month, Sony's anticipated FPS sequel, Resistance 2, finally drops this November 4 exclusively for the PS3. And to all you challenge-hungry gamers out there, here are some of your trophy rewards:

Rampage! (bronze) - Kill 40 hybrids in the Single Player Campaign
Explosives Expert (bronze) - Get 150 kills with the Carbine 40mm, LAARK, or Frag Grenade in the Single Player Campaign.
Berserker (bronze) - Use every berserk at least once in Online Competitive Multiplayer.
Xenocide (Silver) - Kill 1000 enemies in the Single Player Campaign.
Killing Machine (Gold) - Score 10,000 kills in ranked matches in Online Competitive Multiplayer.
Specter Intel (Gold) - Collect all Intel in the Cooperative Campaign.
Secret: Platinum Trophy (Platinum) - Obtain all Gold, Silver, and Bronze Trophies

Make sure to hit the source for the complete trophy list. With a promising single player campaign, eight player online co-op and 60 multiplayer frag fest, Resistance 2 is an absolute must-buy for any PS3 owner this fall.

True, and its harder to rack up 10,000 kills in Gears than it is in Resistance 2 (or ANY FPS for that matter...looking at you Bad Company).

but, yes I will be purchasing. The story was interesting even with the repetitive game play and I'd rather kill myself 10,000 times then play that god aweful multiplayer.

I'm not interested in 60 person multiplayer at all. I personally limit my TF2 games to 6 on 6, I find it's more strategic and intimate (not in THAT way, thx). I wasn't a big Gears fan but I think the idea of smaller multiplayer appeals to me more than this. I also wasn't a huge Resistance 1 fan but I'll proably end up buying this to give some life to my dormant PS3 and get a few trophies for when Home comes out. I LOVE the idea of the Platinum trophies, by the way. Games I get every achievement in, like Mass Effect, Oblivion or (hehe) Uno, should reward me for doing so. Win.

evryone just hold on. listen to wat im about to say. ready?. ok. not all modes will be 30 V 30. u can set the amount of people in a game. there are maps for 30 v 30 and there are maps for less. playtsation network doesnt lag unless its your own connection thats bad, and it will only lag on your tv. ok im done. now just absorb that

Trophies and achievements will always be either pretty lame or ridiculous to get yet fun. But it does add to the challenge of a game. I think PS3 owners will like this when home comes out. All that matters is what you like. I have a 360 and I am an achievement whore. I spent one weekend getting all of the geometry wars 2 achievements because my friends were ahead of me on that game.

As for R2, I can't yet comment on the game. I played the first one and was a little disappointed but what ever. Any game that gets a sequel will usually have more to offer to the gamer. I just don't know if 60 person multiplayer is where it's at. We'll see when the game hits.

You dumbass, I have no allegiance to any gaming system. I own all of them, including the psp and DS. I have 4 kids and we all play. I’m a fan of games and the first resistance suuuuuuuuuuuccccckkkkked! The game play sucked, the camera views sucked, the weapons sucked, the AI was terrible, and the multiplayer sucked ass. I liked how the game ended and I'm interested to see how it plays out.

Nothing to play after Gears2?? LOL....why? Why will I be looking to move on anytime soon when Gears2 comes out and it kicks ass?
I bought other games, but played Halo2 for 2 freakn' years. The game was just that good.
You know Gears2 is going to be awesome. Don't be mad..it's ok...it's ok.

Resistance 2 is going to be awesome. As for online, I've played on Xbox Live before and it lags a little too. To me online play is online play. PSN is just as good. As long as your having fun and owning everyone else then that's what counts.

Are some of you guys serious? If your a fan of FPS you can't help but be a little excited to check this game out.. When ppl say that 60 player wars aren't their thing I agree but I like the way they implementing it.. They break it up into squad conflicts, once your objective is complete you get a new set to work with.. That sounds good to me, I know some 360 fans don't want to acknowledge that this game has potential to be great & I know there are idiot Sony fans who say Gears 2 sucks etc.. I have both and like both this fanboy crap all you do is making yourself look like a @$$..
