'Tomb Raider Underworld' 360 Exclusive DLC

Lara Croft's latest adventure, Tomb Raider Underworld, will further expand on the Xbox 360 as Eidos Interactive announced that Microsoft's console version of the title will receive exclusive DLC.

Arriving at the Xbox Live Marketplace first would be the Beneath the Ashes expansion this December, which continues Underworld's storyline. The exclusive DLCs will send Ms. Croft to new locales, expanding the title's gameplay for up to six hours.

The second expansion, Lara's Shadow, will arrive in early 2009 and it will introduce a new playable character. Of course, the character's identity will remain a mystery for now. Tomb Raider Underworld will ship out this November 18 for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PC, Nintendo Wii and DS platforms.

When it's time to purchase this game and funds are available, for I will be picking up the xbox360 version of this game. Exclusive Downloadable content wins out. Unless a Head to Head review of this game is vastly different and better on the Playstation 3. The same goes for Mirroe Edge, For I will be picking up the Playstation 3 version of that game. That's what great by owning both consoles. A win/win situation

While certain multiplatform games have exclusive DLC for a certain console it still doesn't change the fact that they're multiplatform and really when it comes to games, DLC isn't the total foundation of the game. Also people don't need to have DLC for a complete experience. I consider playing a game and enjoying the game a complete experience. Mainly my point is is that while DLC is cool it's not the most important thing about a game and that gameplay is the most important thing about a game.

You are right. DLC is not a complete experience. Take the DLC for GTA4 for instance, it's just extra side missions that don't change or influence the outcome of the game or franchise. If you don't buy the DLC, you're not missing anything important to the game or franchise. Everything that matters will be on the disc.

Socom, MotorStorm, LBP,Resistance this fall. February 27th, 2009 Killzone 2. 09 titles I'm assuming: Infamous,God of War 3, Heavenly Rain, Dc Universe Online, M.A.G. this game is being develop by ZIPPER. Their the company that originaly did the Socom titles on the PS2. Once, I heard Slant Six was working on the next socom games, and I was curious on what zipper was working on. That was revealed this past E3. It looks awesome! 256 people online! Fourteen new titles this week! I'm sure will come out in either 09 or 2010! It sure beats only looking forward to playing Gears!

That's right. The Xbots have nothing to play after Gears 2 in 09. All of the warranties will be up in 09 too, so none of them will get free RROD repairs anymore.

That's right! They will defend their system to the end! Sony's first party exclusives will without a doubt send it to the grave. In comparison, The Playstaion 2 made the orignial xbox go into early retirement. The playstation 3 will do the same! In fact, Ea Madden 06 looks like he already retired! Ea Madden 09 is now on store shelves! That is a three year difference! That's right I guess his three year waranty must have expired! LOL!

i agree w/ you (weird) about dlc not being all that special w/ exception of this game only caused i've played tomb raider games for years and the fallout 3 dlc other than that dlc is usually not that exciting.

sorry Slipknot isn't as exciting to you as your High School Musical soundtracks and Katy Perry cd. oh well.

The Xbox 3FixMe has sold more to this point because the Xbots have bought 2 or 3 different machines because they keep breaking. Who here is man enough to admit to buying multiple Xbox 3FixMes? M$ is only 5 million consoles ahead. That's sad when they had a year head start and the PS3 is twice as expensive.

Yes RE5 is coming out on PS3 too...


I find it funny that the same x-box that say Uncharted wasn't any good... or that adventure games aren't what they play... get all excited over exclusive DLC for a has been adventure series...


I'm not expecting anything special from this game for the below reason:

PS2, Nintendo Wii and DS platforms

Not on store shelves, but Right in it's grave! Resting next to the original xbox and HD-dvd format! The Playstation 3 will even out sell the next gen xbox system! No correction You are the one who has been schooled. Sony will not be relasing the Playstation 4 anytime soon! They made their mistake trust me! The playstation 4 won't probably come out until fall of 2012 at the earliest. Now it's all about their wonderful first party exclusives taking over! Their first party exclusives will send the PS3 through the roof! Your very ignorant and lacking knowlege! Software sells the console not the other way around. This is why the Playsation 3 didn't do so well at first. Because, Their exclusives were no where to be found. This fall and going forward is where the PS3 will pick up it's steam. It will be the Playstation 2 all over again but with much better GRAPHICS and QUALITY gameplay! Diverse Titles! I will even make this BOLD PREDICITION that the Playstation 4 won't lauched until near the end of the Xbox 720 life cycle! This is why I keep telling everyone on here that The Playstation 3 will out sell the xbox360, and xbox720 combined!

Speaking of stealing games, I played that Bioshock demo and I have 2 questions. How did this game get a perfect 10 rating and how did this game get game of the year? It sucked. I don't see what the fuss was about. You Xbots could have kept this game. I don't want it.

Not all PS3 owners care about FF13..i dont...and have fun switching out those dvd's...when u play FF13...lol.

As for GTA...who cares...that game was too dam long anyway....and to get DLC?.
Nah, I'd rather move onto other games than to be stuck playing that...out with the old in with the new...enter SOCOM, LBP this month!!!!

It seems like that's all the 360 has to brag about lately...DLC content.

It's a good game. It will honestly be one of the best games on the PS3. It is one of the best on 360. I'm considering picking it up again for the PS3. The game has good visuals, great use of sound, awesome style and furthermore it is plain fun to shoot things.

GTA4 DLC: I will get it as long as it costs under 20 bucks. If it is more then I guess I will just never have the pleasure. I like GTA..so why not?

I feel you Guy! This is just way to much upgrading when comes to the PC! It's nice just to be able turn on a tv and power up a console and play! In my Opinion, there are the sports games that are a LOT more FUN on consoles! In fact, Madden 09 didn't get release for the PC! This isn't an argument whether this game sucks or not! Just the fact of the matter. Again, Unless you have money like that to burn, It just isn't worth it! I guess it's up to the user what type of game genre he or she likes. DLC is where it's at nowadays. Puts more life into existing games and games you own already instead of having to spend money on a new title every week since most of you clowns purchase a game and play it the entire day until you get 100% completion and wonder why it bores you in 2 days. So for those of you that give your consoles a total of 4 hours a week to rest...DLC is for you!

I was listening to the Hotspot... and they had a new 360 sku go out on them just a few weeks ago... and one of the older ones a little while before that.... but just like any electronic there is risk... just a lot more with the 360... too much risk for $350... but that's just me.... I'm sure chisel will have a ton of statistical information that somehow proves the PS3 fails more than the 360... so I guess wait tell he puts in his 2 cents... lol

My brother got Haze and hated it...traded it two days after he bought it. I told him to start paying attention to the reviews before he starts wastin his money on games these days! Yes he has a PS3, doesn't have an XBOX and yet he's not a XBOX hater, hmph, isn't that peculiar?

Um, Mass Effect-RPG of the year I believe.
GTA4- hey you didn't name it so I will.
Crackdown was a surprising game that PS3 will never experience "too bad" :(
Bioshock- now coming to PS3 so you'll know what the fuss is all about! ;)
Saint's Row- not GTA but close enough to challege GTA and PS3 owners will get to enjoy the sequel! YAY!!

And no I don't work at a law firm. If you can read you'll notice my name is "NUBEATZ" which would mean the obvious. My office is typically called a studio!! Common sense much? Thanks, glad to see ya, have a mint, come again!

As far as Too Human, I wasn't very impressed with the demo which is why I waited for reviews to come out then make my decision. I won't be purchasing it or renting it, not my kind of game. We the fans don't overhype these games, the media and the developers do. The Force Unleashed is probably the most overhyped game of all-time and that game flip-flopped like John McCain and Barack Obama. Which means pre-ordering should now drop down to an all-time low for the next year or so.

i also played strong safety for a div 1 team my freshman and sophomore years in college, and i speak 3 languages. BTW, i love the violin, anything thomas jefferson did for fun is good enough for me ( why i prolly like black women, huh?)

LBP... 360 will never have... and they already said it can't be played on the 360.... funny thing about that... I've never heard a 360 dev say their game can't be played on the PS3...

I worked on a few Slimm Thug and Chamillionaire mixtapes back when they were in Swishahouse with Michael 5000 Watts and collaborate with some producers in California and Tennessee exclusively. I need not read you my resume, this is not a music thread, it's about DLC but if you wanna clown you might wanna rehash your string techniques first! ;)

to anyone complaining about final fantasy shipping on multiple discs when it comes to 360....i guarantee the ps3 version will have install times so when you think about it quickly switching discs is alot faster than a 2 minute install after every chapter A.K.A. Metal Gear Solid 4

Hey, I never said the PS3 is a weak system. My brother has one and it performs better than my XBOX but XBOX games so far a far superior. In time, PS3 will be better. I was expecting before both systems released that the PS3 would dominate the XBOX since I've been a Playstation fan since PSOne. I can play LBP on his system if I wanna play it, doesn't matter to me. LBP looks great, giving players the power to make content for a game on their own is risky since people are lewd and cruel. We'll see what happens. I'm just sick of you fanbois, XBOX AND Playstation. They are both great systems I believe.

I agree with you. So many young men want to rap or be producers. None of them want to go get an education. I've seen so many of them get nowhere becuase they have no talent and they end up broke forever chasing a pipe dream. The fact that he claims to work with Slim Thug is proof that he has no talent. Everyone in the universe is going to buy this game, Tomb Raider has had a bad run before Soul Reaver creators Crystal Dynamics got ahold of it,so if you don't like Tomb Raider, it shows how long you've been a gamer
( not very long obviously ).....go play a first person shooter !
All the hardcore gamers that like games where you actually have to use your brains are dying in anticipation for this game.

here are games that need a serious update....

a new 2-D Castlevania ( Symphony of the night style ) on the XBOX 360 and PS3

a new 2-d style Metroid for all systems

Super Mario Brothers 4 on the Wii

Baldurs Gate 3 on all systems

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 3 ( all systems )

a new Demons Crest by Capcom ( all systems )

the only way out for PS3 fanboys is to buy a modded XBox 360, and buy pirated games on it. I'm working on it now myself. I don't have to buy any 360 exclusive games, and still get to play them. so I have more money to buy PS3 exclusive games. ;o) the less PS3 exclusive the better, I get to save my money.

wtf do you console noobs mean about ports? most games like quake4 ,prey , farcry, infact most games get raped on the consoles aand the pc versions are always way better hell halo 1 was a pc port but hell the pc version playes way better than the xbox version (even though i hate the halo franchise i did enjoy it more on pc than on a console
