I saw a sandwich similar to this while in the Dallas area once. Not only a patty in the middle but it had a fried egg, bacon, onions, and cheese.

Time has literally halted for me at work now that I have to wait an hour or so before I can go home and make this. I'm kicking myself in the ass for not thinking of this first!!!

Adding a fried egg and bacon does sound delicicous. Athough I'll have to try it with Mozzarella since I'm not a big American Cheese fan.

I've had worse. I mean really, we're talking about 4 slices of bread, maybe 2-4 slices of cheese and some ground beef here, right? The most ridiculous thing about it is merely the extra bread. The last time I left California I swung by In-N-Out Burger and put down a 10x10 animal style (for the uninitiated, that's 10 patties, 10 slices of cheese, the meat is cooked and fried with mustard and then pickles are added, extra spread and grilled onions are added) and I'm still somehow alive and kickin'. Hell, like staychisel says, this is just a hangover remedy. Which I'm more'n likely gonna be makin' tomorrow.
