'Dark Knight' DVD, Blu-Ray December 9

The second biggest movie of all-time descends upong DVD and Blu-Ray media discs this December 9

In anticipation of the title's surely massive consumer demand, Warner Bros. will be releasing both standard and limited editions of the film at its retail debut. The Blu-Ray limited edition will include the following contents:

  • The Dark Knight full-length feature film, 1080p/VC-1 video (2.40:1) and English Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio.
  • Gotham Uncovered: Creation of a Scene - behind-the-scenes look at director Christopher Nolan's masterpiece, stunts, IMAX photography and more.
  • Batman Tech, Batman Unmasked: The Psychology of the Dark Knight featurettes, the Gotham Tonight collection which includes six episodes of Gotham Cable's Premiere Network, galleries, trailers and more
  • BD-Live support - first-ever on a Warner Bros. Studio film, contents yet to be revealed
  • Collectible Bat-Pod packaging

The Dark Knight will also receive a IMAX/theatrical re-release from the studio in January 2009.
