With the success of the iPhone and the unveiling of the Google branded Android, will Microsoft announce their plans to create their own mobile device? Well according to Windows Mobile manager Scott Rockfeld, the company has "no plans" in preparing a Zune phone or any mobile device of their own at all.

"Right now we're happy to share the limelight," said Rockfeld regarding Microsoft's mobile OS. Initially dubbed as the "Pocket PC 2000" application, Windows Mobile is currently utilized in a wide range of cellular devices, such as Samsung's Blackjack phone and T-Mobile's Dash.

Microsoft's entry into the MP3 biz was the Zune, which is still set to compete with Apple's mighty iPod lineup. Many have been speculating that Microsoft will indeed make its way into the mobile hardware industry, especially with the iPhone on the market, but it looks like it's not happening...for now.
