Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is coming out for the DS sometime early next year and it's now been announced by way of a print magazine (Edge) coming out soon, that this version of GTA will have an ongoing side mission where the user, no pun intended, is meant to traffic 6 types of illegal drugs during gameplay.
You'll track the economies of heroin, cocaine, weed, ecstasy, acid and downers and bolster your side income with good decisions about your dealings. Dan Houser of Rockstar has said they've wanted to do this drug-dealing mini-game for a while, but it never fit quite as well as it does in Chinatown Wars. He has also said that Nintendo did not want a kid's GTA.
But what if they did want a kid's GTA…?
