Valve executives Gabe Newell and Doug Lombardi said that updates for their FPS title, Team Fortress 2, will be not be making its way to the Playstation 3, according to 1UP's report. The updates, including the recent "Heavy Update", was released for the PC earlier this year and will make its way to the Xbox 360 version soon.
Lombadi said that Valve doesn't have a focus team of developers dedicated to Sony's hardware. Newell, one of the company's co-founders, said, "[Electronic Arts is] not doing ongoing development on The Orange Box for the PS3". Team Fortress 2 is part of The Orange Box bundle, released in December 2007 for the PS3. The Sony version was developed by EA UK and both the 360 and PC versions were developed by Valve.
Newell also expressed his interest in developing a PS3 version of their upcoming zombie shooter, Left 4 Dead, but only if their "bandwith allows [them] to". "[Electronic Arts is] interested in getting a PS3 version done," said Newell. "We just have to figure out where the resources can come from."
