'Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm' Preview

Namco Bandai gives the latest scoop on their upcoming anime fighting game for the PS3, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm.

This is the first title in the Naruto series to hit Sony's Blu Ray hardware, and the cel-shaded graphics looks absolutely amazing. Boasting over 25 characters from the popular anime series, immersive fighting mechanics and all the "Chakra" you can handle, this title will surely please not only Naruto fans, but fighting game fanatics as well.

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, developed by CyberConnect2, is due out this November.

360 all ready has a naruto game and will be getting Naruto: broken Bond on 360 this fall.

360 always has the one up on ps3s library.

Obviously you never played the 360 version, Ghost, because it was ass. Looked great at first, quickly went downhill after that.

I'd ask if you ever played the Ultimate Storm demo, but I realize you're too poor to get more than one system which is the sole reason for your constant hatred. It's something you can't have.

I played the demo, and I'm really liking this game. I played the first naruto games that came to US, but they got old. Then UC came out with high hopes from me, but that game sucked. But like I said, this demo was tight. It was the first time that it actually looked like ninjas dukin it out. Other than the other games, the characters move around quickly and their animations/movements are more "realistic" (like they are on the show, I guess).

This looks really interesting. Naruto fans should get a blast from Ult' Ninja Storm. Hopefully it would be good enough for a high rating. Btw, there's a rumor that Dead Rising was coming to Ps3. Is that true? Cause I know DR was kick ass.

I have a 360 and right now....I'm so damn jealous!! Naruto has some great fight scenes. and this game seems to translate that nicely.

I was really surprised when I played the demo since I have never heard anything good about any of the other Naruto games. This game while might get a bit repetitive after awhile (but so do most fighting games) will still be a blast since it is not only the BEST looking version but also is fun to play. Really looking forward to it since I haven't been able to get any of the prior Naruto games anyway.

I said 360 has 2 naruto games when PS3 has 1. Thats FACTUAL ownage.

actually my sister bought the 360 naruot: rise of a ninja, and its a solid fighter with a decent platforming single player.

I used kakashi, i loved his power cutscene where he closes the book, signifing thats he serious (just to prove i know the game).

I do admit this game looks nice, I have not played any Naruto games except those for the ps2, i never really got into them because it just felt like Dragonball Z games

Unfortunately, Graphics to me are not important.. it could be so real that you could reach your hand into the screen and i really would care less.. i play a game for its gameplay, Dont forget, they could spruce up a demo to make it entertaining, then really shoot it down when the actual game comes out.. (Its like previews to a movie, only shows the good scenes when the whole movie could be potentially worse)

unless your a die hard Naruto fan, please don't show your enthusiasm ps3 peoples.. if this was coming out for the 360 instead of the ps3 you would be putting it down anyway

i find it weird this game gets all the attention.

Ghost, perhaps you also noticed the asstackular artwork then whenever you fought the unending amount of bandits? Oh I'm aware of Broken Bond, but after Rise of a Ninja I couldn't be less anxious if I tried.

Still, unlike many fanboys around here, both PS3 and 360, I don't hate you or your ilk. I just pity you. You're doing yourself a massive disservice by ardently defending a single console and badmouthing another without ever taking into consideration the other has great games too. Instead, like the other fanboys that infest these comment sections like so much anal cancer, you cut yourself off from a bunch of great games and yet defend really crappy ones for what? There's no check in the mail, no calls from MS saying "Hey man, thanks a lot".

It's sad because you're not a gamer. You play games, but you're just not a gamer. No fanboy is and it's just a sad display of internet bravado to say otherwise.
