SCi Entertainment's $177 Million Loss

SCi Entertainment, parent company of Tomb Raider Underworld and Batman: Arkham Asylum publisher Eidos Interactive, announced a staggering $177 million loss during its 2008 fiscal year.

Accumulating a total of 7.1 million units sold, top selling titles from the company included Kane & Lynch (sold around 1.4 million), Tomb Raider: Anniversary (sold around 1 million) and Conflict Denied Ops (selling around 500,000). Compared to the company's 2007 fiscal year, revenues dropped to $212 million from last year's $230 million.

Tomb Raider Underworld will be released this November for the PS3, 360, PS2, Nintendo Wii, DS and PC platforms. Batman: Arkham Asylum is scheduled to be released in 2009 for the 360, PS3 and PC platforms.
