August sales charts didn't really change much from July. According to the NPD, the Nintendo DS is once again the top-selling console last month, and football tackled the competition with Madden NFL '09, after July's college football domination. Here are the numbers:

- Nintendo DS - 518,300
- Nintendo Wii - 453,000
- Playstation Portable - 253,000
- Xbox 360 - 195,200
- Playstation 3 - 185,400
