'Rock Band 2' PS3 Getting Exports

Posted September 9, 2008 - By jmanalang

Similar to the song export feature in the Xbox 360 version of Rock Band 2, game developer Harmonix announced in title's official forum that the Playstation 3 version will also be utilzing the same capabilty.

As we have detailed last week, exporting your Rock Band 1 songs to part two will cost $4.99, with the exception of "Paranoid" as made famous by Black Sabbath, “Run to the Hills” as made famous by Iron Maiden, and "Enter Sandman" by Metallica. The exported songs from Rock Band will take up about 1.52gb of your HD space.

Also, coming this Thursday, Harmonix will be releasing a patch that will allow the PS3 Les Paul guitar controller from Guitar Hero III to be compatible with Rock Band --possibly with part two as well but it has not been confirmed. Rock Band 2, published by MTV Games, will be out this September 14 for the Xbox 360 following the PS3, PS2 and Nintendo Wii's version releases on October.
