Potter fans, as much as it hurts, we saw this coming. Electronic Arts has announced today that the video game adaptation of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be released closely with its movie counterpart, which was delayed until July 2009.
Both adaptations of J.K. Rowling's massively popular scriptures were originally planned for a Fall 2008 release, but Warner Bros. decided to delay the movie's release last month. The decision "was never intended to upset our Harry Potter fans", according to a released statement by the company. Although it's never "intended", we know that you fans out there are more than upset already by now.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, developed by BrightLight Studios, will be available for the Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, PSP, Nintendo Wii, DS, PC and Macintosh platforms. Hit the jump for the latest preview of the title.
