Two New 'DJ Max' Titles Announced for PSP

PSP rhythm game fans get ready: Korean developer Pentavision is gearing up to release two new DJ Max titles for the Sony PSP.

Odds are, you've never heard of DJ Max, as it isn't sold in the United States, but it's a huge hit in Korea and the other Asian countries. It's based on Beatmania from Konami's Bemani division and it's likely you've never heard of that either.

Either way, the games are tons of fun and there is no region locking on PSP games. It is therefore extremely import friendly. The game doesn't require knowledge of Korean, either.

The two new titles are called Clazziquai Edition and Black Square. According to Ruliweb.com, Pentavision will attempt to target both casual and hardcore gamers with these releases, but it's unsure if one version will be hardcore and the other casual.

Here's a YouTube video of Beatmania IIDX to introduce you to the wonderful world of videogame DJ simulation. This is currently the hardest song in the game.

Hit the cut for a video of DJ Max on the PSP.
