'Lumines' Hitting The PSN?

Posted by John Manalang - Wednesday, September 03, 2008 8:53 AM

Update: Lumines Super Nova (screenshot above) has been confirmed to arrive at the Playstation Network this fall. The latest version of the hip puzzle title features new modes such as the Dig-Down mode, Sequencer mode where you can add your own background tracks along with the Skin Edit mode where you can create your own theme. Fracken sweet, we tell ya! (via Kotaku)

When the PSP first launched, Lumines was glued to our faces 24/7. The catchy techno beats and addictive puzzle mechanics never left our sweaty palms. And now, we might be getting a new version of Q Entertainment's title via the Playstation Network.

According to a post in NEOGAF, scans of the latest issue of Famitsu magazine reveals Lumines Super Nova for the PS3. And, according to 1UP's game archive, there's a listing of a new puzzle title under Lumines PSN. While none of these have been confirmed as of yet, we expect a brand new version of Liumines by the end of this year through the PSN.

Lumines, published by Ubisoft, was originally released in March 2005 for the PSP.
