'Mirror's Edge' PS3 Getting Exclusive DLC

Playstation 3 owners who buy Mirror's Edge will get a little DLC love when Sony releases the Blu-Ray version of EA's promising action adventure title. The game will feature exclusive, PS3-only content available via the Playstation Network. According to Eurogamer's report, a spokesperson from Sony said:

"PlayStation has an exclusive marketing agreement with EA regarding [Mirror's Edge]. Exclusive downloadable content will be offered on the PlayStation Network."

No DLC has been confirmed as of yet for the Xbox 360 and PC versions, although the 360 will still get exclusive downloads for Bethesda Softworks's Fallout 3, coming out this October 28. Mirror's Edge, developed by DICE Sweden, will be out this November. Check out the latest vid of the title after the cut.

I get an exclusive chance to spend more money!? Wow, sign me up!

I thought Sony said they don't pay for "exclusive" content and that exclusive software doesn't matter anymore. Oh wait, that's when MS and Nintendo locked down exclusives. Then it doesn't matter and it's beneath them. But when they enter into the same agreements, then it's great! Sony = hypocrisy.

A good example of why the guy that wrote the article is a fanboy, "No DLC has been confirmed as of yet for the Xbox 360 and PC versions, although the 360 will still get exclusive downloads for Bethesda Softworks's Fallout 3, coming out this October 28." Was it necessary for him to mention that? We're talking about mirror's edge exclusives content on the ps3 and he brings up another subject at the end. Everytime they mention gta dlc for xbox, they don't mention that the same team is working on a brand new sony exclusive title. It's a shame that these sites are so bias.

Ok enought about the GTA4 content already. Is it just me or is anyone else tired of playing this game. Most likely soon i will trade it in. It was a great game but does tend to get slightly repetitive after awhile. just my opinion.
I am pretty sure a bunch of 360 owners will now say that they don't care about the DLC because obviously they are not getting it. If the GTA4 DLC would have been on the ps3 they would have said they didn't care about that either. The only thing i am jealous of is Gears 2 and Fallout 3 DLC. See i am man enough to admit it

lol, i already traded my gta4 copy, that game was by far the most boring game i've ever bought, besides assassin's creed. And @DBJAY, ms and nintendo locked down exclusives?? which are?? We can start putting a list of exclusives titles for all system and i guarantee you that sony has the most.

Shameful. You can't just let the PS3 have it's second in the light can you? You had to point out that the 360 still gets Fallout 3 exclusive DLC didn't you? Seriously, shameful. Never thought you guys were actually 360 fans, but since Fallout 3 and Mirror's Edge (which I don't even want) look about as similar as Mario and Gears of War, I have to call you out this time.

Mirror's edge looks cool & i was a lil upset when it said that ps3 is getting exlusive dlc because im all about the 360, but if i had 2 pick between fallout 3 & this game, fallout wins hands down & i'd rather download exclusive goodies 4 fallout than mirror's edge. But it's good that sony has some exclusive dlc, let's not be selfish 360 owners. Oh, and sony can keep rockstar as far as i'm concerned,gta4 in my oppinion wass the worst letdown in gaming history, worse than halo 2's ending, after that game, i lost all respect for rockstar, except 4 the new midnight club game :). Saints row 2 is gonna be better than gta4 anyway in my oppinion, it cater's 2 my type of gamer better. But about mirror's edge, i'm still a little skeptical about if im gonna get it or not. Fallout 3 is a definite buy tho :)

lol kobebryant is upset because of the fact that xbox owner will get fall out 3 and gta4 exclusive. dont worry youll be able to enjoy a little video about mirrors edge on bluray! add that t ur small bluray library.

I don't like how each system gets exclusive DLC. If the developers are going to take the time and effort to build the game on both platforms, then they should release the DLC on both platforms. Another thing is some of you act like DLC can make or break a game. Seriously, DLC is not that big of a thing. The actual game is what's important, not the extra content that comes out sometime down the road.

I have all 3 consoles, so exclusive DLC is actually helpful in deciding which platform I will ultimately buy the game on. Looks like I'm getting MIRROR'S EDGE on the PS3 and FALLOUT on the 360.
And yeah, there really was no reason for the article to throw in a plug for the 360's version of FALLOUT. G4 really loves to suck MS's d*ck.

Sony didn't pay for this like MS and Nintendo did...at least it didn't say that. Can you at least read the article first? And I think this is a "thank you" to Sony from EA, because it is proven that the PS3 is EA's biggest source of income.

no one said Sony payed for it... but they could have offered them something else...? more space in home... free ads somewhere... hard to say... maybe nothing... maybe EA is tired of MS sh@t...

I'm with you on that, I own all 3 and the exclusive DLC helps me decide which system to get it for.. As for G4 plugging the Fallout for 360 its a little fanboyish.. But the thing I find funnier is that some 360 not saying "It won't be that good" or "Fallout 3 is better" etc..

Agreed. They could not just say PS3 gets Mirror's Edge DLC without mentioning M$. G4 is on M$'s payroll, that has always been obvious.

Notice how all of the Xbots say ha ha we have GTA4 DLC, but when the PS3 get an exclusive Rockstar game the Xbots say GTA4 is the worst game ever, we don't care about Rockstar. Typical Xbot hypocrits. Nice try.

Oh, and looking on the front page, I saw that the article with the PS3 exclusive Rockstar title was there for like 5 freaking minutes (exaggerating of course, but seriously it went so fast I didn't even get a chance to read the article, and now I can't find it...I find that..."funny"), but that Gears 2 multiplayer hands-on report has been there for like a week now.

BTW, if anyone can find me a link to that article, it would be greatly appreciated.

360 fanboys are butthurt now that Sony is getting exclusive DLC. Gamestop is overloaded with used 360 copies of GTA because it got boring after the first 5 hours. In 09 when the GTA DLC is released everyone will be on better games that may deliver on their hype.

Not only xbox360 owners think gta4 was horrible, everyone that i know that has the game & a ps3 absolutely hated gta4 & from all of the ps3 gta4 blogs, no1 relle likes it tham much, the game was just 2 realistic & rockstar sucked all of the fun out of it & that goes for both platforms. I actuallly doubt now that that many ppl are excited for its dlc because the game was a tragedy.

(My oppinion, all flamers f&!k off!!)

Oh, & DLC does not make the game, the game makes the game, DLC only makes the game better. & all this back & forth about the DLC, i can pretty much guaruntee that most of the ppl here taking shots & 360 about the exclusive dlc won't even download it. THe game itself doesn't look that promising, the graphics are relle good, thats about it, I think I'll wait for the new Prince Of Persia, that game looks amazing.

Even as a PS3 owner I am not too exited about this. To be frank I'm not even sold on ME yet.

Yes this article is flatly Xbox biassed and fans the flames of this pointless fanboy war.

Even considering Fallout 3 though, I'm not totally sold on that game either.

Frankly I don't think the PS3 deserves this DLC. MS payed up umpteen millions to get GTA DLC so they clearly deserve it, but 3rd party exclusivity only makes sense if something can be done on one platform and not on another.

Cool. So I'll buy this game for my PS3, and Fallout 3 for my Xbox. Hopefully there will be more stuff like this for PS3 because I've been buying almost exclusively Xbox titles lately, which worries me, especially if I have to send this machine back like my first one. I hope PSHOME evens the playing field on online games too so I don't feel like I always have to buy, say, madden, on xbox when I'd probably prefer to play it on my PS3. They're both solid systems, I'd just prefer to get some of these games for my PS3 because I expect it to have a longer shelf life (also the PSN is free).

Sorry, i got pissed off. Eye for an Eye, i know that if i pissed you off, well f&!k me. Lets just pretend this petty little argument never happened, and i can go back to reading your comments about how G4 is biased (cuz it REALLY is. im serious, no sarcasm in these words), the PS3 is awesome, and all us "Xbots" are gonna be pissed because a single game got exclusive content for your system (some sarcasm there). Then you can go back to making said comments. Oh and Thundercracker, ur right, but i think the Xbox might get the Survival and challenge modes later on.

Mirror's Edge looks cool, but it's not my kind of game, doesn't look that promising for me to spend $60 on it. And who cares about Rockstar's exclusive PS3 title, you people don't even know what it is yet and yet you talk about it like it'll be the best Rockstar game ever. Give it a little time and don't expect too much so you aren't too surprised with disappointment. This 360/PS3 war is gay. Xbox has great games, and so does PS3, play what you want, and shut up with the extra-curricular! Kthanxbye!!
