for realz that movie looks so sick, and I think mark wahlberg is the perfect actor for the part he fills it very well

the only thing i dont like about it is that max payne always had a smirk on his face i hope mark does it atleast once in this movie

will there finally be a good game based film?

Posted by Frankotaco - Friday, August 29, 2008 4:43 PM
a great game to make a movie of, should be a very easy game to movie conversion due to the games story structure. and i concur that Mark will play a great Max Payne. but...I'm wondering what was with all the God and devil talk? and what was with the Valkyrie's flying around? Norse Mythology terms where used as the governments code for the Valkhire program. and aspects of Norse Mythology where used to express Max's emotional state, such as the bitter cold blizzard during the first game. and the same goes for the satanic undertones, only as a story element. The story of Max isn't literally a story of demons rising from under the earth and Max Payne ends it. this is max Payne...not Constantine. seems cool, but some odd clips that seem to me have no reason to be in a max payne movie.

Max Payne is a REALLY bad game with a REALLY bad story and a REALLY ugly charracter.

But in one way, Max Ass may be the only good video game movie, seeing that all the others suck.

(please dont mention Resident Evil because if you do you have no idea what a good movie is)

im guessing those weird satanic sequences were dreams right?

This movie looks badass... Mark Whalburg looks and sounds enough like Max. The movie's what, 7 years in the making? It's obviously gonna be rated R. Maybe this movie will be one of the few good movies based off of a game. I just hope his face isn't the constipated-looking smirk it was in the first game.

Looks pretty good. Bad Game? One of the first with bullet time baby!

Dear sweet Lord! Are the people on this board blind? I'm almost at a loss for words. Mark Wahlberg? You think Mark Wahlberg is a good Max Payne? Hey, what do I know, right? I'm just really really surprised nobody's ripping this movie. All I can say is that though I wouldn't go see this for anything, I will be renting at the very least because of Mila Kunis as Mona Sax. Though I don't think she's right for the part, it's still Mila.

I don't know, Marky mark is a corny ass actor, It always looks like he tries to hard during his action scenes, you can tell by the funny faces he makes

Headline draws me to thinking there was a new trailer here, and I look at it and it's the old one shown months ago. It's not even the second trailer they released a little while ago, it's the first one.

I dunno, as far as games into movies I thought Silent Hill was verrrrrry good! But this movie does look pretty kick ass thus far.

Posted by littleb242 - Saturday, August 30, 2008 5:30 AM
Because g4 has a time machine, and they're testing it to see how far they can go back in time to pick up old ass clips....That's what I'm guessing...

@SgtSmashBabies

umm I would love to hear what you consider a good movie if Resident Evil isn't good enough for you.

and yes Silent Hill was also good not great but it kinda captured the game even.

This movie =Constantine=matrix=the punisher= GREAT MOVIE

Posted by face0324 - Saturday, August 30, 2008 8:32 PM
people need to give game to movie adaptation chances, why bash this movie when it hasn't even come out yet

Posted by OBELIX - Saturday, August 30, 2008 11:21 PM
I just saw the NEW trailer on the Max Payne Movie website, and I must say that if the MPAA doesn't give this movie a hard-R rating, the entire ratings board must be sleeping on the job... Not that I'm complaining; I happen to want this movie to be a hard-R movie...

Posted by silverneedle18 - Sunday, August 31, 2008 12:32 PM
not the latest trailer

Posted by thecoo1est - Sunday, August 31, 2008 3:32 PM
@Frankotaco, I think he is just having nightmares in those odd clips.

I'll pass on the Max Payne movie and wait for the Clock Tower movie to come out in 2009.

More Mila Kunis that's all I got to say.

I have no reason to be optimistic about this movie except for Mark Wahlberg.

That said, I'm still fairly optimistic about this movie.

M. Night Shyamalan has become known for seemingly cursing up and coming actors' careers, an example being Paul Giamatti. Who starred in that disaster The Happening? Thus, I'm not holding my breath. Also, the games with the best stories seem to be severely insulted by lesser movie adaptations.

i think that hitman was a very good game to movie
