Late last year, Google started the Android Developers Challenge; a event that had software developers from all over the world work on applications for Google's new cell phone operating system. This week, Google announced the list of 50 finalists, including the 20 winners who will take home $100,000 or $275,000 depending on which winning tier they fall into. Some of the winning applications include a cab calling application, personal photo editing software, a cooking/recipie assistant program, and a carpool application called "Piggyback". Check out all 50 finalists with photo examples of the programs, and short descriptions, by clicking the source link.
