We may still wait a while for Strarcraft II to come out, but Blizzard co-founder Frank Pearce is already talking about possibilities of its expansion. In an interview with VideoGaming247, Pearce said:
“We don’t have the resources or time to add a fourth race to the launch of StarCraft II, but I’m sure in the event that we decide to do an expansion set it’s a feature that’ll come up for discussion...We talked about the possibility of a fourth race early on, but we felt like we had a finite amount of great ideas and wanted to make sure we focused all the cool, best ideas on the existing three races rather than diluting those ideas across four races."
So Starcraft faithfuls, which race do you think Blizzard will possibly add in Starcraft II? Could it be the Xel'Naga, the race who helped create the Protoss and Zerg? Or, could it be that "surprise" at the end of the Brood War expansion campaign? And our minds continue to linger...
Starcraft II will be released "when it's ready" for the PC and Macintosh platforms.
