See everyone back in WOW in 30 days when your free trial is over. Honestly this game looks like crap. Only reason it's going to steal people from wow is because the expansion for wow comes out in Nov. People are bored right now. So WOWhammer will have players till Nov and then its OVER JOHNNY!

WoW implemented Looking for Group in the Burning Crusade....

What the Hell is this guy talking about? new?

But I still anticipate this game and see how it feels, I will say my impression of the WotLK Beta thus far has set the standards pretty high.

lol the tears of wow fan boys cometh!
Its ok if you guys dont like this game, the people that do, dont want you spamming the chat channel with your fodder anyways.

And i hate to burst your bubble on the WotLk when ever it finnally comes out...which will be next year...cause i have never known blizzard to keep a release date. Think about it. BC was suppost to come out on a sept. launch day...and eventually came out the following feb. So have fun waiting.

I for one cant wait for warhammer.

First, BC was released in Jan.

Second, No one is crying.... we are just simply asking for, whats that saying?

oh ya.

You Have to Walk the Walk, Before you can Talk the Talk.

WoW Killer? Lets see in Sept.

I am looking forward to WotLK as well as WAR, my weekend preview experience was pretty good, but I am going to be a bit more cautious after being suckered into buying AoC.

Honestly, is it so difficult to love both? I hope both are good because (and here comes the hard part) if I get bored with one, I can always switch to the other!

"Only reason it's going to steal people from wow is because the expansion for wow comes out in Nov. People are bored right now."

People need an expansion to stay interested in WoW? Well, I guess it makes sense since the only goal is to continually grind and there's only so much you can waste time on at the moment.

I'll stick with playing against other people instead of NPCs. Have fun with your second job.

I can't make up my mind whether or not to buy this game.

Mythic's Camelot was EXCEEDINGLY praised for it's RvR. I read a 5 page story about how this one guy had the best gaming experience of his life playing Camelot's RvR. So, I'm very excited about WAR because I absolutely adore multiplayer co-op games… and this would be co-op on the grandest scale of all!

In addition, the Warhammer Universe really appeals to me - I think the races and classes feel much more creative and gritty than the WoW races. It pissed me off that there were no Dark Elves in WoW. Now finally there are Dark Elves in a major MMORPG... though I'm still steaming over the fact that the Skaven were not included as a playable race.

Another positive is that WAR is a big budget game - in case you can't already tell by the cinematics. Mythic has been working on it for what seems like CENTURIES... so I expect it to be very polished by the Sept 18 deadline. I don't want another Age of Conan fiasco.

On the other hand, there are major flaws to the game in my eyes. To begin, it looks absolutely UGLY AS HELL. Especially in stark contrast to their trailers and cinematics. The general colors on the screen are black and grey and vomit-green and brown and all other possible shades of feces. Also, the landscapes look blocky and linear, not to mention the combat looks SO FAKE.

In the video, notice dwarves fighting a wraith and swinging their axes like in a DIFFERENT ZIP CODE and STILL getting off a hit? I don't want to invest so much time looking at the ugly textures in this game. Mythic should have scaled the graphics to higher end systems.

Another problem is the monthly fee. I don’t have a lot of free time- rather, let me rephrase… I don’t have enough free time to fully invest in a new MMO, so I’ll be paying $15 for maybe 30 hours of playtime – assuming I play 1 hour per day.

Personally, I liked Guild Wars because of its focus on more casual players. But WAR is geared ONLY TO THE HARDCORE. That’s going to be a major flaw for me.

And yet, if the gameplay is fun - who cares about the graphics or cost? It's gonna end up a battle between pros and cons on this one.

Apsalus07 - WAR is not geared towards the hardcore. It is extremely casual friendly. You can log on do some pvp for a while then log off. Or you can log on and join a group to do some PQs(Public Quests) then log off. I would say it is more casual friendly than WoW. Btw, I am a big WoW fan. I just hope this game competes with WoW, b/c lets face it Blizzard needs some competition.

Looking For Guild isn't what he's talking about at all.

Anyhow, glad to see they used An'ggrath the Unbound for their Blood Thirster model, tho the more dragony one from Dawn Of War was pretty cool too.

WAR is a great game. The beta and preview weekend have been awesome.

To those claiming the game doesn't look good, the beta has been locked to "medium" settings so wait for the real release to pass judgment.

The RvR is tons of fun and it's a different game than WoW.
