The next installment in the legendary Metal Gear Solid series is currently in production, as former Kojima Productions producer Ryan Payton said to Kotaku that Metal Gear Solid 5 will be yet "another blockbuster game":
"It'll be hard not being involved in MGS5, but I've got the utmost confidence that Hideo Kojima, Ken Imaizumi, and our amazing team will put together another blockbuster game. I'll be cheering from the sidelines."
Kojima has mentioned many times that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots would be Solid Snake's final mission, but as we all know, the epic soldier is not yet ready for a retirement plan. MGS4, released in June 2008, has already been acclaimed by many critics, gamers and fans as the best in the series so far, featuring a timeless storyline and a brand new control scheme--a feature Payton contributed to in the game. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, published by Konami, is exclusive for the Playstation 3. Check out the video review after the cut.
