With his unusual Tropic Thunder comic role, Tom Cruise is setting his eyes on another experience in his career: A movie adaptation of the comic book series Sleeper.
With the recent blockbuster success of Iron Man and The Dark Knight, Cruise has partnered with Spider-Man director Sam Raimi to bring Sleeper writer Ed Brubaker and artist Sean Phillip's creation to theaters. The Hollywood superstar is currently in talks with Warner Bros. Studios, who distributed the caped crusader's phenomenal breakthrough.
Sleeper's plot revolves around an undercover agent named Holden Carver, who possesses an extraterrestrial trait that makes him immune to pain. Although Cruise's role is still not certain in the potential adaptation, he will most likely be Carver's alter ego on the big screen.
